www.leroc.org.uk  The LeRoc French Jive Federation has launched a completely new website designed to help dancers identify teachers who have a qualification for teaching LeRoc or modern jive.

The new website features details of classes and events held by Federation members and is kept up to date using extensive data feeds supplied by UK-Jive.

The Federation is a non-profit organisation set up by independent dance teachers for independent teachers. Its members have passed an examination to ensure their teaching ability and their qualification is endorsed by the UKA (United Kingdom Alliance of Teachers of Dancing).

Says LeRoc French Jive Federation Chairman, John Eastman, "The popularity of LeRoc and modern jive has increased so much in recent years that many new teachers have set-up without much training or experience. We hope this new website will help dancers to find a qualified teacher in their area. At the same time we hope it will encourage teachers to contact us and sit our examination so that they can join our enthusiastic and qualified community of professionals".

Different moves:

For learning more difficult moves and for specialised "partner only" moves such as jumps and drops, look at our Workshop page and e-mail us with your interest. We will let you know when we are running your type of workshop.

We have also had good feedback on the  www.jiveoholic.org.uk site with over 500 modern jive move descriptions (over 120 animated), a comprehensive search engine and considerable advice to get beginners and improvers going a bit faster.
